My Dad, Nelson, is a 71 years old architect with a lot of creativity and an amazing heart. Father of three, I’m his older son, and together with my two sisters we are collecting funds to pay for his treatment and hospital bills.

Proud of himself, he has tried to make it by his own in a very difficult country called Venezuela.

Due to the conditions venezuelans are forced to live (3-digit inflation, limited health resources, among others), he has no alternatives but to go to a private hospital to get his the treatment. Also, local insurance covers and very small amount of the total bill (due to inflation) and they charge in US dollars.

He is currently in the hospital waiting to get his chemotherapy. Due to his condition he is not able to be at home as outpatient.

He was feeling great until few weeks ago when he suddenly felt a lot of fatigue and found tremendous difficulty breathing.

After lots of lab tests he was diagnosed with “Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL), B-cell type, stage 4”.

Doctors say he has a high percentage of completely recovering due to this type of lymphoma is well known and treatable, but unfortunately we can’t afford the full cost of his treatment.

Mi papá, Nelson es un architect de 71 años con mucha creatividad y un corazón increíble. Padre de 3 soy su hijo mayor y junto con mis dos hermanas estamos recolectando fondos para pagar su tratamiento.

Orgulloso de sí mismo, ha tratado de hacerlo por su cuenta en un país donde es muy difícil de sobrevivir llamado Venezuela.

Debido a las condiciones en que los venezolanos se ven obligados a vivir, no tiene más alternativas que el sector privado para recibir su tratamiento.

Actualmente se encuentra en el hospital esperando recibir su primera Quimioterapia, debido a su condición no puede estar en casa como paciente ambulatorio.

Se sentía muy bien hasta hace unas semanas, cuando de repente sintió mucha fatiga y una tremenda dificultad para respirar.

Después de mucha investigación, le diagnosticaron un linfoma no hodgkin de células tipo b 4

El Dr. dice que tiene un alto porcentaje de recuperación total debido a que este tipo de linfoma es bien conocido y tratable, pero lamentablemente no podemos pagar el costo de su tratamiento.
